What are the brief introductions to FCC certification in the United States

The full name of FCC is the Federal Communications Commission, and the Chinese is the Federal Communications Commission. Established in 1934 by CommunicationACT, it is an independent agency of the U.S. government that is directly accountable to Congress. The FCC coordinates domestic and international communications by controlling radio, television, telecommunications, satellites, and cables. In order to ensure the safety of radio and wire communication products related to life and property, the FCC's Office of Engineering and Technology is responsible for the technical support of the committee and is also responsible for the approval of equipment in order to ensure the safety of radio and wire communication products related to life and property.

What is the FCC certification mark?

What are the benefits of going through FCC certification?

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulates the import and use of radio-frequency devices, including computers, fax machines, electronic devices, radio receiving and transmitting equipment, radio-controlled toys, telephones, personal computers, and other products that may harm personal safety. These products must be tested and approved by a government-authorized laboratory in accordance with FCC technical standards if they are intended to be exported to the United States. Importers and customs agents are required to declare that each radio frequency device complies with FCC standards, known as FCC licenses. At present, the United States has become China's second largest trading partner for several consecutive years, and the trade volume between China and the United States is on the rise year by year, so exports to the United States should not be underestimated. The technical standards and import regulations of the United States are strict, and understanding the market access rules of the United States will help Chinese products to further open up the American market.

Which products are within the scope of FCC certification?

1. Personal computers and their peripherals (monitors, printers, keyboards, power adapters, mice, scanners, interface cards, electronic amusement instruments, power supplies, UPS, fax machines, modem machines, answering machines, switches (servers), etc.)

2. Household electrical appliances and equipment, electric tools (refrigerators, electric irons, food crushers, electric kettles, electronic disinfection cabinets, microwave ovens, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, electric toys, automatic rice cookers, electric shavers, electric hair clippers, electric hair dryers, bread bakers, massage appliances, battery chargers, household electric stoves, electric cooktops, washing machines, induction cookers, electric food processing appliances, low-power motors and other electronic and electrical products. Power tools: electric drills, grinders, circular saws, nail guns, air drills, etc.)

3. Audio and video products (radio, CRT/LED/LCD TV, set-top box, DVD/VCD Player, MP3 Player, home audio, etc.)

4. Lamps. (LED lamps, LED screens, LED power supplies/drivers with ballasts, energy-saving lamps, stage lights, dimmers, converters, electronic dimming equipment for entertainment venues such as stages, AC electronic ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps, tubular fluorescent lamps, ballasts, ballasts for discharge lamps, fixed lamps, movable lamps, recessed lamps, etc.)

5. Wireless products (such as: Bluetooth, wireless remote control toys, wireless remote control switches, wireless thermometers, wireless mice and keyboards, wireless monitors & cameras, wireless microphones, FM transmitters and various wireless devices.) )

6. Toys (metal toys, plastic toys, wood, bamboo toys, plush toys, paper toys and electronic toys)

7. Security products (alarms, security products, access control, monitors & cameras, etc.)

8.Industrial Machinery(Punching and Shearing Machinery, Woodworking Machine Tools, Packaging Machinery,Plastic Machinery,Metal Cutting Machine Tools, Food Processing Machinery, Food Machinery,Printing Machinery, Die Casting Machinery, Electrical Control Systems for Machinery and Equipment, Amusement Facilities, Hydraulic Machinery, etc.). The type of self-verification The manufacturer or importer ensures that its product has undergone the necessary testing to confirm that the product meets the relevant technical standards and retains the test report, and the FCC has the right to require the manufacturer to submit a sample of the device or the test data of the product. Equipment suitable for self-validation includes commercial computers, TV and FM receivers, and industrial, scientific, and medical equipment for non-mass consumer use under FCC Rule Part 18.

What are the conformities of FCC certification

1. The person in charge of the equipment (generally the manufacturer or importer) tests the product at a qualified testing organization designated by the FCC to ensure that the equipment meets the relevant technical standards and retains the test report, and the FCC has the right to require the responsible party to submit samples of the equipment or test data of the product. The equipment applicable to the declaration of conformity includes home computers and peripherals, civil broadcast receivers, ultra-regenerative receivers, other receivers of FCC Rule Part 15, television peripherals, cable system terminal equipment, and industrial research and medical equipment for mass consumer use in Part 18.

2. The responsible party shall have the following markings on the device: ID Authentication The FCC reviews the samples (or photos) and test data submitted by the applicant, and authorizes an FCC ID number to the device if it meets the requirements of the FCC rules. Equipment suitable for certification includes low-voltage transmitters such as cordless phones, remote controls for automatic doors, radio-controlled toys and security alarm systems, Part 15 devices that deliberately emit radio frequency energy, Part 18 industrial, scientific and medical equipment for mass consumer use, automatic inverter receivers and super-regenerative receivers, television interface equipment, and home computers and their peripherals.

3. The responsible party shall mark the equipment with the FCC ID: Note: If a device is suitable for two or three approved categories, it is selected by the responsible party. Certification Process Declaration of Conformity The responsible party (manufacturer or importer) of the product will test the product at a qualified testing organization designated by the FCC, make a test report, if the product meets the FCC standard, affix the corresponding label to the product, declare the compliance with the FCC standard provisions in the user manual, and keep the test report for the FCC request. Application ID First, apply for an FRN, which is used to fill out other forms. If the applicant is applying for an FCC ID for the first time, they will need to apply for a permanent Grantee Code. While waiting for the FCC to approve the distribution of the Grantee Code to the applicant, the applicant should hurry up to get the device tested. By the time all required materials are prepared and the test report has been completed, the FCC should have approved the Grantee Code.

4. The applicant completes FCC Form 731 and Form 159 online with this code, test report, and required materials. Once the FCC receives the Form 159 and remittance, it begins processing applications for certification. The average time it takes for the FCC to process an ID application is 60 days. At the end of the process, the FCC will send the original grant with the FCC ID to the applicant. After the applicant gets the certificate, he can sell or export the corresponding product.

What is the process for applying for FCC certification?

Ordinary products, without Bluetooth, WIFI, or call function, belong to ordinary products. In this way, you can prepare two samples, fill out an application form, and provide product manuals, and the cycle time is 5-7 working days

Application for FCC-ID process:

Apply for an FRN first, which you can use to fill out the other forms. If the applicant is applying for an FCC ID for the first time, they will need to apply for a permanent Grantee Code. While waiting for the FCC to approve the distribution of the Grantee Code to the applicant, the applicant should hurry up and send the device to an FCC-authorized laboratory for testing. By the time all required materials are prepared and the test report has been completed, the FCC should have approved the Grantee Code. The applicant completes FCC Form 731 and Form 159 online with this code, test report, and required materials. Once the FCC receives the Form 159 and remittance, it begins processing applications for certification. The average time it takes for the FCC to process an ID application is 60 days. How to apply for FCC ID certification?

There are two ways to apply for FCC ID certification:

1. Directly send the product to the TCB laboratory in the United States for completion, which is relatively expensive and difficult to control the time (the cost is high, so it is not recommended).

2. Send the product to the FCC approved laboratory for laboratory testing, prepare materials, and complete the report. Then send the test report to the TCB institution for certification. At present, customers mainly use this method. FCC ID certification can be checked online in the United States to distinguish the real from the fake.
